Sticky, Sticky Cleavers

Picture yourself at a movie where the vines uproot themselves and grab the people innocently trying to make their way out of the forest.  Whenever I see a scene like that, it instantly reminds me of cleavers.

Cleavers have this indescribable sticky property to them.  You know how grasshoppers land on you and they have those little suction cups that almost hurt your skin?  That is what cleavers are like except there are no suction cups.  They are just immensely sticky and wrap themselves around other plants, eventually choking them out.  This sticky feeling is really little bristles that hook themselves onto anything near it.  Cleavers grow like a vine and will crawl on everything in your shade garden.  Living in a densely wooded area myself, means lots of cleavers to find from spring til fall.

However, even though cleavers are a bit of a pest to the traditional gardener, they are a gem to the herbal gardener!  Healing properties of cleavers are so incredible that the pharmaceutical companies are now finding interest in those properties.

I personally use cleavers as a detox agent.  It has a mild laxative property that I will give my kids when a virus comes calling to keep everything working efficiently while moving that virus right along.  It also stimulates the lymphatic system and is often used as an infusion.  I personally use it in tincture form and add it to a base infusion our family lives on.

Cleavers have some history in being used for cancer, skin conditions, urinary problems, kidney problems, and even on nursing pets with swelling.  Cleavers can be used fresh as a poultice for inflammation, or dried for a number of herbal applications.

Herbal Roots Zine is featuring cleavers in one of their March editions and I'm happy to give a tincture to the lucky winner that Kristine sends my way!  AND..... we'll host a cleavers giveaway for readers here!  To enter the giveaway for March, just add a comment below!  Make sure to go and visit Herbal Roots Zine to enter there, too!

If you don't win and still want to try some cleavers tincture, make sure to visit the Herbal Products page.

Introducing: PAINO

This last year I have been working diligently to perfect this product that made its way into my life, by the sting of a yellow jacket.

Yellow Jacket Inspiration
PAINO pictured with some forest flora.

My daughter, now 10, was helping her father last spring nail some broken branches to our broken cedar stumps so clematis can effectively climb and dance its way up the tall stump.  I love clematis.  Especially since moving into this mostly dark and dense wooded area, clematis is a bright spot for the eye to land.

No one was aware that a yellow jacket hive was in this stump, and they came screaming out with every hammer hit and made my daughter their target.  Being her first sting of any kind, her panic was heard more than seen.  I ran to her from my garden tending on the other side of our 5 acres to find her stung and bitten 5 times inside her shirt.

After this ordeal, she was so terrified to go back outside.  She kept saying, "I didn't do anything to them!  Why me?"  She didn't feel safe and it broke my heart.  I made a promise to her that I would make something to take the pain of bee stings away within seconds and I was determined.  I gathered up every anti-inflammatory weed growing anywhere on our property and put them all in my dehydrator.  Then I threw them in a bottle with some jojoba oil I had on hand.

This began the PAINO journey of discovery.

Several weeks later, my son was stung by a yellow jacket.
I immediately put what I then called pain oil, on his sting.
It never swelled.
He swears the pain was completely gone within 23 seconds (he is 8).
And he went back outside to play.
AND so did my daughter.

I knew I was on to something.  So I began playing with the formula on how to make this pain oil the most effective.

What is PAINO?

PAINO is an acronym that stands for:
Powerful
Anti
Inflammatory
Natural
Oil

Essentially, PAINO is a blend of plants and herbs slowly infused into a blend of oil to apply topically.

I have seen PAINO help in so many situations that it is unlimited in its topical use.  Arthritis, bee stings, pulled muscles, joint pain, fibromyalgia, menstrual cramps, Achilles heel injuries, sports injuries, rashes, tattoo healing, old joint and bone injuries, compounded long term inflammation, and it even worked wonders on the inflammation from a slipped lower lumbar!

Now that my PAINO formula is perfected, I am excited to watch how PAINO helps others.  PAINO is continually being tested under some of the most extreme cases of pain and I will share those results as soon as I have them!  There are new reviews added weekly to the PAINO order page!

Now please be aware, I cannot make claims as to what this product can do because it could create legal issues.  I can, however, share with you how others have used it and how it has and hasn't worked.  You can also share how this product has helped you with us here and with your own family and friends.  With the drug companies claiming so many lives, it is time for options like PAINO to be used, shared, and celebrated.

You can order PAINO from this website and a handful of representatives who have used PAINO and wanted to promote it!  Wholesale orders are welcome, please email me for details.  The retail price of PAINO is only $23.95 for 4 ounces.

Point to Ponder

What kind of inflammation do you have frequently?
What do you take an aspirin or acetaminophen for?
How could you replace a pill for a topical, organic solution that is good for you?
